What's a Book Trailer?

Before a month ago, I had never heard of a book trailer.  That should not surprise me.  Sometimes I float aimlessly in the canals of cyberspace, jubilantly grasping at small nuggets of knowledge only to discover that everyone else has known about them for years.  So it was with the book trailer.  However, now that I have latched on to this brilliant and sinfully fun promotional tool, I intend to give it my best shot.
